"Sustainability profit" refers to the financial gains or benefits that result from sustainable business practices. Traditionally, profit is measured solely in terms of monetary gains. However, with the growing emphasis on environmental and social responsibility, businesses are increasingly recognizing the importance of sustainability in their operations.
Here's how sustainability can contribute to profit:
Sustainability team
Goals – To encourage and work towards becoming the most environmentally sustainable construction company in NZ, while also considering corporate social responsibility towards our community and the planet.
Writing material
Our stationery usage has been analyzed and eco-friendly alternatives have been found for high usage products, i.e. carbon neutral paper, metal or bamboo pens with refills, etc.
Cleaning products
All cleaning products purchased are environmentally friendly.
Print Media
All printed stationery is purchased through Soar Print, which has the strongest sustainability credentials of any NZ printing company. They are ISO14001 compliant, CarbonZero (CertTM) certified and offer both FSC and PEFC paper stock.
Employee Engagement Survey
In February 2019 we conducted our first employee engagement survey and, although improvements can always be made, we are very pleased with our initial results. Some results include:
Q. Are you happy with your work? 75% answered 8 or higher out of ten
Q. Would you refer someone to work here? 84% said yes
Q. Do you feel valued at work? – 80% said yes
