The use of precast concrete is significant on this project – the two entire facades are precast panels with approximately 200 units each and all the beams and floor units for the carpark are also precast.

Stringent traffic management and safety plans were implemented to ensure the continued safety of the public and surrounding businesses located in Central Auckland, as well as other nearby construction projects. As main contractor, DFICA were involved throughout the ECI phase, offering value engineering options for the project prior to work commencing onsite. From there we were involved with all aspects of the construction, from enabling works through to the completion of the building and associated site works. The work included extensive piling and ground works, including external facade works and a hotel on all floors. Reconfiguring the original bus maintenance facility, the construction featured high quality materials including a precast concrete envelope, high performance glazing and a naturally ventilated carpark. decorative screens.
